Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") outlines the rules and standards that govern the use of the SYNTRO Marine™ platform, software, websites, and related services (collectively referred to as the "Services").

All users of the Services agree to comply with this policy as a condition of using the SYNTRO Marine™ platform.

1. Purpose of This Policy

SYNTRO Marine™ is designed to support legitimate marine business operations including:

• marina service management
• vessel maintenance tracking
• parts inventory management
• marine repair scheduling
• service communication between businesses and boat owners

This policy exists to ensure the platform remains secure, reliable, and lawful for all users.

2. Prohibited Activities

Users may not use the SYNTRO Marine™ platform to engage in activities that are illegal, harmful, or disruptive.

Prohibited uses include but are not limited to:

Illegal Activities

Users may not use the platform to:

• violate any applicable law or regulation
• facilitate fraud or financial scams
• distribute illegal content
• engage in identity theft or impersonation

System Abuse

Users may not attempt to:

• gain unauthorized access to systems or data
• bypass security protections
• reverse engineer the software
• disrupt servers or infrastructure
• introduce malware, ransomware, or harmful code

Any attempt to exploit vulnerabilities may result in immediate account termination and legal action.

Data Misuse

Users may not:

• harvest or scrape data from other users
• collect personal data without consent
• misuse vessel ownership data
• access customer records that do not belong to them

The SYNTRO Marine™ platform is intended to store legitimate business and operational records only.

Misrepresentation

Users may not:

• provide false information about vessels or services
• impersonate another business or marina
• misrepresent qualifications or service capabilities
• manipulate service records or work orders fraudulently

Spam and Unauthorized Marketing

Users may not use the platform to:

• send unsolicited commercial messages
• distribute spam
• abuse communication tools for advertising unrelated services

Communication features are intended for legitimate service interactions.

3. Fair Usage

To maintain system performance for all users:

• automated scripts or bots may not overload the platform
• bulk uploads must comply with system limits
• users must follow API usage limits if applicable

Excessive use that disrupts system performance may result in temporary throttling or suspension.

4. Enforcement

SYNTRO Marine™ reserves the right to investigate suspected violations.

If a violation occurs, we may:

• suspend user accounts
• restrict access to features
• permanently terminate accounts
• remove offending content
• report illegal activity to authorities

These actions may be taken without prior notice when necessary to protect the system or other users.
